In 1947 my grandfather, Guy Spayne (Spagnuolo), designed and built the 997 seat Lyn Theatre. It was perhaps the first movie house in the country to be equipped with a milk bar. The theater’s innovative design featured sloped seating and staggered rows, so that no seat was directly behind another.
